The light work here is exceptional from Maison Francis Kurkdjian (@maisonfranciskurkdjian). Every gradient, every surface has volume and clarity. I love how they used a yellow gel on the right and blue gel on the left to recreate a moonlit scene. The specular highlights on the metal cap in the main image add so much to the storytelling. This really shows what you can do with controlled gradient lighting in luxury perfume photography. Mecca Cosmetica: Editorial minimalism and refined lighting for prestige beauty
Okay, let's talk about these photos from Mecca Cosmetica (@meccabeauty). Lauren Bamford (@laurenbamford) is one of my favorite photographers. I deeply admire her sense of style, her unique feel for light and composition. The only thing is that there are some dust particles and a tiny unclean cutout on the brush image, but maybe it was artistically necessary, which we'll never know. The way Torriden's Dive-In and Balanceful lines are captured, especially those hyaluronic acid serum textures, really brings the product personality forward. YSL Beauty LOVESHINE: Candy styling with rich metallics and contrast
YSL Beauty (@yslbeauty)'s LOVESHINE collection shots by Publicis Luxe (@publicisluxe) are using that candy styling trend perfectly. The lighting is beautiful: rich blacks, gorgeous metal reflections, and the way light catches those candies is delicious. My only critique: the black portion of the blush palette goes too dark. Aesop skincare: Blue tones and layered depth in lab setting
Interesting composition from Lara Angelil (@laraangelil). The sophisticated lab in the background doesn't distract the viewer, only gives you a hint of storytelling. And the spotlight circle adds another layer of depth, leading the eye straight to the products. Also, it's refreshing to see blue colors used in Aesop (@aesop)'s imagery.
