Bottega Veneta Alta Collection: Museum-quality compositions with natural stone backdrops
One of my favorite campaigns this month from Bottega Veneta (@newbottega) shot by Louise Trotter (@louise_trotter_)! The simplicity and storytelling in the Alta Collection work is what makes it so compelling. I love the stone backdrops and natural props they selected. The styling creates really interesting central compositions by integrating leading lines, patterns, and textures. That top-down light gives everything the feel of museum artworks.
Chanel Bleu de Chanel: Father's Day campaign with blue-toned atmospheric lighting
Another great Father's Day campaign from Chanel (@chanelofficial) shot by Karim Sadli (@karimsadli), presenting their legendary Bleu de Chanel as a perfect gift for fathers and father figures. I especially like the use of blue colors and temperature of light. It symbolizes calmness, stability, trust, and depth, as well as coolness, which is perfect for this campaign and very on brand. The background looks like office headquarters at night, which adds to the storytelling. The blue-toned approach really works for this high-end fragrance photography.
Chanel Duo de Baumes: Neon-lit drama meets pristine product highlights
Hello Chanel! This limited edition Duo de Baumes from the Summer's Calling collection gives me summer party vibes with neon lights at some mansion, shot by Philippe Jarrigeon (@philippejarrigeon) for Chanel (@chanelofficial). The pink gel was a perfect choice for this concept. I love the use of non-traditional pink hard lights and that diagonal line creating energy, movement, and tension for the mood, but still keeping a perfect white diffused highlight on the lying stick. That highlight grounds the photo and helps the triangular composition add a feel of stability and groundedness.
Bloomberg Businessweek peptide vials: Organized chaos in editorial styling
A "what's in my fridge?" concept, and the prop styling is doing serious heavy lifting here from Bloomberg Businessweek (@businessweek) shot by Ian Loring Shiver (@ianshiver). Getting that many vials into one frame without it reading as chaos is genuinely hard to pull off. The fridge shelves give you built-in leading lines and depth, and leaning into the repetition of the vials rather than fighting it was the right call. The red accents are doing quiet balancing work, and the neutral props know their job. They stay back and don't compete. But the positioning is what actually makes the composition breathe. Mix standing and lying vials, play with scale variation, and you go from a static grid to something your eye wants to explore.
Dries Van Noten lipstick: Sculptural angles and tactile texture
Ah, these shots are giving me goosebumps from Dries Van Noten (@driesvannoten) shot by George Kroustallis (@minorstep)! Exaggerated angles, very deformed and tactile lipstick texture, and clean modern conceptual lighting is what makes these shots so interesting. Big fan of the lighting here. It's exactly what you want for sculptural beauty work like Dries Van Noten's lipstick line.
